I have significant experience in post-graduate education and training: I have been Programme Director and run the Prosthodontics Masters programme at the University of Manchester since 2006 and have trained many dentists to Masters and Specialist level. I have also trained endodontists and periodontists (having also been director for those programmes in previous years). In addition to teaching and training at The University of Manchester, I have also provided training by invitation for other Universities including Birmingham, Edge Hill, Salford and Chester on a variety of Restorative and Implant courses, and also provide training for independent providers including MANDEC and Smile Academy.

I am keen to support practitioners in developing and my roles reflect my keen interest in post-graduate education and skills improvement for the dental team. As well as having broad experience of providing a variety of academic and hands-on training, I have been an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh, having examined for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry, Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry and the specialty Membership in Restorative Dentistry. I am a current examiner for the relatively new MAGDS (Membership in Advanced General Dental Surgery).
